Description: This song is a Christmas dream about all shades of happiness that may come true on Christmas. I’m singing about the Christmas miracle I wish to come sooner as I’m waiting for the one, who’ll be brave enough to melt down my frozen heart right before December ends. The frozen heart is to be melted with caution, not to be broken, as the heart is fragile and has cracks on it.
This is a mid-tempo pop song. Initially composed and arranged under the inspiration of ABBA’s ‘Happy New Year’, the track has a dramatic rollercoaster of an arrangement, ranging from dreamy music box piano and warm strings in verses, to upfront contemporary sounding disco groove in the choruses.
Although the song is written in the major key, carefully crafted vocal lines in verses and pre-choruses make it sound full of romantic yearning. In the choruses however, the disco groove and syncopated synths leave no doubt this story will have its happy end when the Christmas is finally here.
LYRICS
I may have my heart frozen like an iceberg
Yet it drifted down right into your arms
Are you brave enough not to hold back
Can you melt it down before December ends
And I’m spending my days
Listing down all the ways
We can screw it all up
And I’m spending my nights
Dreaming up all the shades of happiness
Is it yet Christmas I’m waiting so long
I’m wishing for Christmas to come sooner
It’s miracle times and I’m closing my eyes
And wishing for Christmas, please come sooner.
Is it yet Christmas I’m waiting so long
I’m wishing for Christmas to come sooner
It’s a miracle time when every surprise is possible
Have you seen the cracks on a frozen heart
Can we melt it down without breaking up
Yeah, I’m brave enough not to let go
So blaze me with the heat of Christmas miracle
‘Cause I’m spending my days
Listing down all the ways
We can screw it all up
And I’m spending my nights
Dreaming up all the shades of happiness
Is it yet Christmas I’m waiting so long
I’m wishing for Christmas to come sooner
It’s miracle times and I’m closing my eyes
And wishing for Christmas, please come sooner.
Is it yet Christmas I’m waiting so long
I’m wishing for Christmas to come sooner
It’s a miracle time when every surprise is possible
